Reliable Web Hosting or Cheap Web Hosting?
If you think you're going to have web hosting both reliable and cheap, it's very hard to come by. If you don't mind some down time or problems, then by all means, take the cheapest route possible, maybe even a Free Host.
However, if you need rock solid 99.9% uptime, plus impeccable service that answers your concerns 24/7, please understand that we cannot recommend any host under about $15/month at a minimum.
All that aside, it is still not easy to make a decision about a web host, and it is indeed one of the most important decisions you will have to make in your website building. You may just want lots of space and enough bandwidth to support it, or you may want great customer service to answer your questions promptly also.
We have listed here only our favorite resources. We'll be honest that this site is hosted on FutureQuest, because we want the absolutely best customer service that money can buy. Plus amazing uptime, great resources, free stats package, and plenty more.
We have also set up sites at FreeHostingWeb.com, since we just can't beat the price of a one time fee including domain name. For a mere $12/year afterward to renew the domain name, you have a site up and running. There are always reasons to be a bit wary of your host registering your domain name (they might not be so happy to transfer the DNS pointing if you want to move!), but so far we have had no trouble with FreeHostingWeb, and it makes a dirt cheap way to begin.
